Just before reaching the Monti estate from Monforte d’Alba, on the left there is a small plot of land of one hectare destined for the creation of the historical wine of the winery: the Barbera d’Alba.
A vineyard of 0.92 hectares, located at an altitude of 420 meters above sea level (1378 feet), Merenda is cultivated with barbera grapes and contributes to the production of two labels: Barbera d’Alba and Barbera d’Alba Superiore.
The soils in this area are of the limestone-sandy matrix, with a good percentage of clay.
